Google Broad Core Update December 2020

Will you continue to work on the sites that got penalized this time? Buy new content and articles, etc.?
I think I will focus a bit more on projects which already have solid foundations. Sites which already have some authority with decent amount content and backlinks get less troubles with updates upon my experience. It is safer to build new content or buy extra backlinks on those websites.
I will try to add a bit of content of the website that got really hit by this update because the content of the site is a bit too thin. But if nothing happens with a few extra pages i will consider it as a dead project.
I've notice something a bit new with this update, you can have some important variations when you reverse the keywords. You usually had the same spot by typing keyword A+B or B+A. But the top spots have much more variations now.

Yup, also noticed that. Could be BERT thinking about many more possibilities for A+B and B+A. Not sure if that will improve search results in any way.

Also noticed variations on A+B+C vs C+B+A vs B+C+A. Back in the summer, there were no such (big) variations.

Im very confident when Im saying that Google have not completed the rollout even if they said so

I've got something weird in this update. On one site for my brand name search my homepage has dropped out of the serps from position 6 and been replaced by a thin inner page at position 87...

It's like a page based penalty.

It's recovering!

Exactly you are right. They have messed with the brand name of the many companies. From big to small all suffered. Pinterest is all over there instead of that.

Whats the deal with Pinterest anyway? They basically hijacked the serps in every country with their subdomains jp.pinterest, de.pinterest, etc.

No one can't tell me Google didn't notice it. Pinterests organic traffic through the Google search engine must be going through the roof...and this crap has been going on since last year December already. Suddenly Pinterest was all over the serps in the top 3 for several niches.

The problem is: There is really no value to Pinterest posts or shares. Its a social media platform for sharing pictures and links, so basically Pinterest is something like a search engine themselves. For example, if someone is looking for the best male hair cuts. So Google is heavily linking to another platform which is a hybrid of a search engine and a social media platform. Thats what Pinterest is.

Well before that December update my many links or keywords that were dominating against pinterest are now dominated by pinterest. Also, Google preferring few small ecommerce platform compared to big corporate companies. Their product pages are getting more values compared to the real important articles.

Even intent search schema is not working. For example if I am searching for the "2021 print trend" than Google is showing the result of a ecommerce platform that is selling the print trend pdf report instead of the full fledged detailed article. Why the heck someone looking to know print trend 2021 will buy the report for $40?

Even biggest brands like vogue and elle is lagging in that case.

So, it is pretty much an update to get money from big brands

Yes, but many of these companies are in Sillicon Valley. I would say the executives know each other. Some people who worked for Google are now working for Pinterest and vice versa.

Google always praising "content is king", "write quality content" and "make the content as natural and relevant as possible", but obviously, its not true.

Either it is about Domain Authority (thats why Wikipedia, Pinterest, Facebook, Amazon, Apple, etc. can rank for almost any keyword) or the search engine is rigged and they prefer big brands over anything else.

There is no official announcement regarding this!, may I know from where did you got this news
I have heard Google will roll out another update on January 3.

Well its all about the domain authorities and also the more content you have in your websites more likely you will dominate.

Facebook, Twitter, pinterest or any other social media platform user created contents make these platform filled with the continuous new information and article thus they create a great value.

The rule follows same for the news portals and magazines if you are daily adding at least 50 new articles without any seo you will get the success in googles parameters.

Right. Good to hear someone seeing the same things. I think they try something new with the intention meaning with that last update.
Honestly, it looks pretty bad in terms of quality. No added value by doing that.
I don't see in the sample I saw why users would like to see different results by inverting the keywords.
Except messing around, the core updates in the recent years have been pretty unuseful in terms of search quality.
I have the impression the guys with very high IQ at Google don't know how make search better with some kind of Artificial Intelligence and without messing up the search engine.

I don't go into the snippets game. They change every 6 months depending on Google's mood. I think it is a good waste of time.
I've tested in the last 3 months a website based on automatic translations to see where it would go with 3000-4000 translated words per page. I am now at around 20-25th position without backlink on interesting keywords. I saw a boost with that update. About 30% didn't rank in top 100 so I guess they got penalised in some way but the other 70% have now interesting positions. It says a lot about the evaluation of quality by Google. It is perfectly unable to detect a Nobel prize of litterature only with the AI and without an external signal like backlink.

This the mother fucker ended his thing? I think I can make more money now with my pinterest account. I see that pinterest gained the first page for many keywords with just a fucking post share (Image and a few words).

I was at about 150 organic views per day on my website. then i dropped heavily to about 60 per day. now I'm steady at around 120 per day.

I am wondering why Google engineers thought it was a good idea to put Pinterest pages on some top spots.

Jesus Christ, I need to find another job. These goddamn fluctuation don't do me any good.

Basically there's nothing more anyone can do. Google is simply ranking the richest sites.

If you got money, you'll rank. Even by using others' contents like Pinterest. No need for original content or anything like that.
