How many botted/artificial searches are there on Google?
We all do keyword research and many daily monitor the positions = botted/fake searches.
I have a feeling that over 50% of google searches are botted/fake.
With every update I have a spike in impressions as people start checking/re-checking their rankings many times a day. Those are botted impressions.
What do you think?

PS: oh yeah... traffic exchanges or other bs stuff where poeple increase their CTR by faking google searches.

OK.
Let's say I found a 100 searches a month keyword. I monitor it so my rank checker checks it every day so 30 "fake" searches are from me, and if anybody else... then it's 60.
And how many people do you think run rank checkers on a daily basis?

Then do you mean " that kind of traffic and impressions are purely negative to SEO ranking" ?
For me, and all of my competitors, that traffic is an important part.
I know those will not lead to any sale, but they affect ranking, don't they?
