In a recent Office Hours stream, Google’s John Mueller set out how translating content automatically, especially at scale, can lead to manual actions on behalf of Google’s Web Spam Team, such as de-indexing machine-translated (MT) content.

He confirms translated content is not counted as duplicate content, but then goes into further detail on best practices for translation. Namely, avoiding blind use of their own Google Translate tool.

I think Google is just concerned about search intent at this point

Both translated and AI-generated content are performing well on scores of websites with no issues. Given the fact, they provide value to the searcher.

Maybe this is the answer to my current indexing problem. I did not use to have any issue with getting my new article indexed. However, the two last posted articles are not getting indexed by google. I am waiting already about 2-3 weeks now. Maybe its due to using translated content from deepl. So what to do now?
