Hi,

I'm trying to connect a site to a G+ profile in order to receive benefits in form of rich snippets etc.

I added the rel author link to the header of the site and added the site to the G+ profile's contributor-to area.

When I use Google's Rich snippets tester tool I get these results:

First rel=author link from webpage: <correct G+ profile>
Link (direct or indirect) from website to Google+ profile: Yes
Public contributor-to link from Google+ profile to <the site>: No

So you can see where is my problem...
Why Google can't recognize the contributor-to link in the G+ profile? I did it following their official instructions..

Thanks

i have the exact same problem , some people say that google will update it soon , and others that google select who will have his pic displayed at search result , coz a lot off sites was spamming this features... so.. im waiting to google pic mine haha

It appears you didn't place the link from your g+ about page to your website.

@bartosimpsonio please elaborate

@brooktroutballer dude, seriously? the link is plastered around the about page

Low ROI, no real benefits in SERP CTR, ties you to their failed social network, a big waste of time. Personally I don't click on results with images on them, I find them pretty rificulous.

the client wants it, the client gets it...

If the CTR (or rather the overall visits through natural search) will drop, then we will cancel the authorship link..

I find you pretty ridiculous. :D

OK, the testing tool now shows it is OK (seems like it just needed some time), but I still cannot see the rich snippet in the SERPs.. probably needs a bit more time...
