Google Authorship Eliminated

Hi Everyone

It seems like Google is playing around with people, adding and deleting different algos every week.

This is becoming more and more confusing for a marketer to tackle such cases frequently.

What is your opinion on it?

Besties :)

I know its a little bit of a pain that they removed Authorship, however I think it will be back.
Google initially launched Authorship to help trusted authors receive a higher score in search results as a reward for their content creating efforts than someone who hadn?t yet earned their colours.

I never cared about it or messed with it at all. Just do normal SEO and rank. Don't like seeing people faces anyway. I thought it was dumb from the get go.

I know it was quite unpopular with a lot of people but still, very annoying if you have put a lot of time and effort into it.

The basic idea of Google+ authorship was noble, as it allowed all content from an author to be linked for the convenience of the Google search user. But, it all came down to a practical matter as Google said they shut it down since all those images of authors on the search results made search load slower. When a site (even Google search) loads slow, the user is likely to leave. So, of course they would get rid of authorship.

complete pain in the bottom!
Have worked hard towards this and the plug has been pulled

Authorship was only a project to get visitors/members for G plus.
Really stupid method because, as sayed by OP, webmaster have to be updated on all Google's moods and change their strategy every month.

So in my opinion the authorship system was good only to attribute the contents to his creator, now without images it's really hard to recognize it.
