Google Android tablets?

Is anyone using the android tablets at all?

I have been pondering about getting a couple(me and misses), Im not intrested in the ipad as I have a few laptops and a couple of pcs..........along with a iphone 4!

Im thinking of getting them just to browse sites, nothing more!

As for android tablets, I would suggest you to wait for Asus Eee Pad Transformer. Here's the video that basically covers about it all:

I would wait for this one too. Xoom and Galaxy Tab 10.1 definitely are not capable of matching this one in terms of productivity because they don't have the keyboard dock and full sized USB port. You would want an iPad 2 over xoom and galaxy tab 10.1. But asus transformer? definitely different.

Basically asus eee transformer is another android tablet that comes with separate keyboard dock.

The keyboard dock has full sized USB 2.0 ports and it also works as extra battery (gives you another 8 hours battery so basically the whole tablet has 16 hours battery lifespan). What I like most from it is how you can use the tablet alone or simply put the keyboard dock altogether and make the most of it. If you feel the keyboard dock is heavy, just leave it somewhere and bring the tablet alone The weight of the tablet prob is around 650-760 gram (a bit heavier than Galaxy Tab), and the keyboard dock itself could weigh the same. So when you attach the keyboard to the tablet, the total weight probably is just around 3 pounds, not that heavy. But again, you can split them up and bring only the tablet.

The price is expected to be around $300-600 so it's cheap indeed. And yeah it comes with Tegra dual core 1 gigabyte too, prob just the RAM is smaller (could be 512 MB or 1 GB)

Hi wannabie,i have used the very tablet in question.(can get them cheaper than that for you too)The quality aint too bad the worst thing for me is the sensitivity of the screen.I mean if your used to using your iphone then the touchscreen on this just wont match up as its nowhere near as sensitive.All in all a nice little gadget for the price and well you get what you pay for.Hope this is of some help.D

I just got the Asus eee transformer, running Android 3.01 - this is the shit!

Whatever you decide on, don't ever go for those cheap china tablets..

Same here. The advantage for me over iPad is the size. Since it is smaller, it is much less bulky than the iPad, but still big enough to actually feel like you are not just on a big phone.

I never understood those 7" screen tablets. Same functionality as let's say an HTC Desire HD just with extra 2" screen and no phone calls for the same or even higher price.

Galaxy tab mate try that you will love it for sure 100%

I'm gonna get one of those cheap ones just to read in bed! Maybe a netbook to watch basketball in bed. I don't need full blown internet everywhere I go!

How many Android tablets are there?

They are quite a few android tablets as a lot of them are china made unbranded
