Google and Duplicate Content

I'm hoping someone can explain or perhaps point me to a good resource about how Google deals with duplicate content.

If I outsource articles, submit them to AC with rights of reproducing, post it on a blog and then sending the articles to free article websites, would this affect my blog on search engines?

If your articles are indexed by Google, google knows the age of this content. If that exact content shows up somewhere else (article writing web or someone elses web), it would be those articles that would be affected by duplicate content. Google will not punish the oldest, original content.

Of course, this is always subject to change. Google changes their algo frequently.
 
It'd be best if I posted to my blog first then, wouldn't it?

Does anyone have experience with AC who can tell me the difference in average profit per article between submitting articles with and without reproducing rights?
 
From EXPERIENCE I can tell you this . I did a wow site that ripped only from youtube all the videos where ripped from youtube plus the descriptions as well . The site now has about 1.5k videos . 1500 links site link in google ranks above youtube for ALOT of keywords . Which this site is about 3 or 4 months old and this leads me to believe that dupe content does not exist .

I have other sites as well I have done in the past with the exact same statistics .

So honestly experience speaks louder than words . You can argue till you are blue in the face but I will still tell you I do not belive there is a penalty or dupe content .

I too run many autoblogs and lot of them have dupe content.
My blogs have not been penalized yet
They have been up for 4 months now.
Infact sometimes...these autoblogs with dupe content bring in more traffic than my Whitehat blogs with Unique content :)

It all depends do you want the blogs to last or are you doing them just to get traffic? If you feel you can throw away your blogs over time and remake new ones then it'd work out, but if you want the blogs to stay up its better to keep the content on the blog.

There is no duplicate content penalty IMHO.

From experience, I have never had any problem with duplicate content. I post lots of the same content across various Web 2.0 properties and articles, and have never had a site penalized or anything close.

Now if you had the same content within your own website, you're site might get penalized. But as long as you spread it around, there's no problem for me.

With that, don't be lazy. I still vary spin my content.

But you don't have to be worried about duplicate content in my opinion unless it's all on your site.
 
There doesn't seem to be a penalty for sites you own with duplicate content. Try also to check on the free article websites where you'll be submitting an article, if dupe contents are allowed.
 
It's all a myth. Google could care less about duplicate content. After all the web is all about syndication.
 
if u ll keep copy content from few sites tht can lead to deindexed. Try to use many many many source if you really need to copy and also at below metion URL of source site. then it should be best.

It seems most people here are referring to articles and duplicate content. In this case, I wouldn't recommend copying other articles and trying to submit those.

This will only lead to your accounts being banned at the article directories. With articles, I would recommend spinning them IF you are copying from another source.

If it your own article, you can get away with submitting the same article too multiple directories and/or web 2.0 properties without any problem. Sure some, may get de-indexed from Google in the long run, but who cares. Just keep submitting and you'll be fine.
 
Also vote that its a myth. Ive never experienced a 'banning' from dupe content. i have sites made up wholly of PLR content unchanged, and some rank well. But none are deindexed.
Its a scare tactic.
 
Like others have mentioned hereI don't see much of a dupe content penalty.
I have several autoblogs, some almost a year old now, that rank higher then the content sources for some keywords.
 
After reading all i m planning to use dupe content with auto blogging ll run 5 blogs after few month ll have better idea.
 
I've been scrapping and ripping sites for years and the duplicate content is a Google myth.
 
Yeah my plan of attack with articles is to just rip chunks of 5-6 different articles and meld them into one.
 
Duplicate content refers to having the same exact page on different pages of your server.

Think about it, if there really was a duplicate content penalty for articles, then how would stuff from the Associated Press get indexed?
