when you copy and paste content directly to your website. does google know it was copied? meaning should you paste it in notepad first and then copy it!!

lol...even if you paste the content first on notepad.....Google will know that the content is copied !

i know that , i just want to know if it knows that it was copied using copy past or not.

OP, you don't want to use copied content. Or you're not serious about your online venture.

Nope, Google does not detect copy and paste. You can just copy the new york times and create your own super newspaper, no problem.

i guess i wasn't clear enough, i know you should not copy content and google detect that the content is copied. what i would like to know is if google can know if the copied content was copied using copy past or it was copied by hand. am i clear now?

If the exact order of words in the paragraph was indexed before on another site, and you copy it onto your web page, Google already has it in it's index, so therefore knows it was copied.

Now if you are talking about manually, then potentially you could be copying unique divs and style tags from the target website which would make the code identical to the copied website.

Either way, they know.

The question really is, do they care?

This doesn't make any sense, mate.

I know what you are trying to say. When you copy something, it goes into the clipboard. When you paste it, your OS takes the text from there. https://www.google.com/search?q=how+copy+paste+works

No, google would not know that it has been copy-pasted or typed. Unless you are using blogger but then also, I doubt they are logging whether people are typing posts.

Lots of people write in other applications such as word then paste the text into wordpress or whatever, so that completely fine.

You are either trolling or being way too paranoid.

Lol. copy paste is an great thought and google knows that your content is copied.

what an Idea Sir G!!, l0l... lol

If you do like this you get only articles for the website.

dont ever copy and paste from google will hurt you statssss!!!! careful there!!

Can you share with us such a big secret? WHY do you need this answer?)

yes, google immediately knows you used notepad to paste the copy you had cut ...google even knows what time you did that and the OS of your device

they have a software called copyscape if you copied from anywhere it will easily detect you

Why would it matter if you took 1 hour writing every word by hand or just hit ctrl+c ctrl+v ?
At Google's eyes it is the same. No, they do not know the method you used, but it really doesnt matter. What are up to?...
