Google Analytics & Webmasters - Is it time to stop using these?

Without going into politics, but a lot of political dissidents are getting banned from social media. Their Twitters, Facebook and Youtube channels are getting killed, simultaneously.

Just now I read @Vegas1979 s post in the recent Google update-thread. (https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/g...ge-update-today.1228452/page-67#post-13343834)

He's been targetted. They seem to have linked all his accounts together and just wiped all his websites.

I have seen more stories like these, not only from political figures but also SEO guys. They don't get a manual penalty, but all of their sites get killed overnight. The only connection between them have been that they are using the same GA and Webmaster account. I see posts about this dating back 10 years.

My most recent sites are not using GA or Webmaster. But I'm also thinking about deleting my older sites from these services. Probably too late, but it's worth a shot.

What do you guys think - is it wise to skip these Google services? Can you recommend any analytics plugins as a replacement? Have you had experiences with several sites getting wiped just because they were under the same account?

...And the more I think about it, the more stupid I think I have been for using these services. I mean, I have several sites - Google obviously doesn't like SEO's, and some of my websites are blackhat. Why would I want to show Google exactly what I'm doing and what my portfolio is?

In the last few months I have basically started treating my new sites as if they were PBNs. I want no footprints.
 
Yes, i skip webmasters and analytics, it doesn't make much of a difference really. You just have to be a bit more skilled at reading what data you can still get.

I use Yandex Metrica alongside Google analytics, I noticed Google analytics reporting is sometimes incorrect or incomplete.
Many times it records 0 seconds/minutes time on site whereas Yandex records something else.
So, you might want to use Yandex for your traffic analytics
 
Yandex Metrica is a great alternative for Google Analytics.

I like yandex's heatmap as you can track where users click and they will send you text message/email when there's something wrong with your site like server's down for ex.

Honestly, I'd be earning half of the money I am earning today, if I was not using GA and GWT (and GTM) on all my sites.

When you learn the ins and outs of these tools, you can track almost everything with them. And if you already have some substantial traffic, there's a ton of things to track and monitor.
When you track you can optimize. Just with your own data, exact data, not relying on some clown tools that cost $100+ a month and are terribly inaccurate (think ahrefs as an example).

Without data you are just shooting in the dark...

Wow! Is it free? Hotjar heatmaps is the only one I know and they charge...

This is expected from google. All my youtube channels (8) got banned at the same day at the exact same time, even those which were not black hat. I used multiple log in feature amd i also had a couple of channel on each google account so its clear the make a connection !
 
Have metrica too, actually GA & YM, but I think yandex gives a lot more.
