hey friends.
in google analytics, i am wondering if there is a way to see which iphone version my visitors are using?
i can see "apple iphone" but it doesn't say if it's the iphone 4, iphone 5, etc.
thank you

Well... you can get by making screen resolution the secondary dimension Screen Shot 2014-06-25 at 9.52.24 PM.png

It seems like 320x480 is going to be iphone3/3s or iphone4 (most likely iphone 4/4s)...

if you search for "iphone screen resolution google analytics" there are threads on the google product forums where folks are using this same method (screen resolution) to get an approximation of iphone 5 vs older

another thing you can do is set "operating system version" as a secondary dimension.. ios 8 is only on iphone 4s and above... but who knows how many ppl who have upgraded.. i feel like screen resolution will at least give you a clear picture of iphone 5 vs older ...

if you need an exact number, sadly google analytics cant tell you that ... can you get at your server logs and take a sample and write a script to bounce off the user agents against the wurfl api .. i can help you do that if you can get the logs..Screen Shot 2014-06-27 at 11.24.02 PM.png

I recall some apple conference where they bragged that 97% of users is using latest available version of iOS, compared to 30%-ish of android.
