I have read some posts which say that they dont like GA just coz it has no live tracking.
I discovered it few days ago and i tough to share it here. I know it was pain in ass waiting hours at late night just to view statistics. Some of you probably know this already but maybe some still don't know it, i haven't used search to check if it was already posted, so sorry if it was. Don't burn me if you already knew it, so just ignore it.

This will show you only how many visitors your site recieved until current time that day, not how many visitors you have on your site at the moment.
In GA account chose website you want to see statistics for as usual, then on right side just above graph you will see date range. Click on it and select current day on calendar and click apply.

click thanks if you didn't know this before :P

this is pretty good buddy. like pofecker said it is abt time. nice one bro

Too many people these days want everything now like right now, it's kind of a bad thing to get into. But anyway back on topic it's good that they finally have live tracking.

Are they slowly moving this across each country, as I'm in the UK and they don't have live stats in my account.

It is not live for me, always seems delayed. For example this morning I know a few people already went to my site but it is showing zero. There are no times (9AM, 10AM, etc) so how do you know it is "live"? Screen shot maybe? Or perhaps this is being rolled out slowly?

Yes, its delayed... for a couple of hours, for me at least. But this options is available for ages.

That's good to know! That always frustrated me also. I also watch my traffic real time on my website. You can use providesupport .com, which when I bought it was $99 for the year. It is a customer service chat feature, but it allows you to see in real time every one that is on your website. It tells you their location, IP, ISP, referring page, what page they are on, and a bunch more shit. You don't even have to have the chat button on your site, they give you a tracking code you just put into your website on every page, download the console, and you can watch your traffic all day.

This is what the console looks like.

I use this option to check how traffic goes that day, maybe twice a day, and its delayed for sure but i dont know why that long for you. For me it works just fine, sometimes i check few times per hour and in most times it gives me new stats.

I guess it is, but i guess many people dont know about it.
