Google analytics = Google spying on your site? = Does it affect your SEO

So I've been wondering for a while, installing google analytics (and other google stuff) on a site is like having google the permission to spy on our sites (internally), I have several sites, one of them is a shopify site with google analytics installed, what surprised me most recently is that I can see all sales and most sellable products .... on google analytics itself. I then started to wonder if google evaluate your site based on this info and then upgrade or downgrade your kws ranking.

Lets say, a site sells kitchen tools, garlic press ... and google see all the sales ... and you are trying to optimize your garlic press kw ranking on google and other kitchen tools kws, if google sees that you only sell 2 garlic presses a week, then what prevent them from de-value your site from this kw? I'm concerned and I don't see anyone discussing this specific issue.

If google is spying on everything and we are giving them a permission to do so (like google analytics and such, then they are seeing who is visiting the site, what kw ending up with sales, whether or not the visitors are buying or ... and if they actually at the end de-value or secretly mark your site as none reliable to be ranked on first page or at least first 5-7 position?

Is there any other analytic tools that you could install on your site that has NOTHING to do with google.

Think about it, why would google offers free comprehensive tools that can easily be sold at $50-90/ month

Of course google is using that information in ranking its just a question of how. They probably track visits to the garlic press page than compare conversion rates with other sites it has in its grasp. If you are much worse I could see you deranking but in many cases it might start removing you from keywords that aren't helping you convert. This would hurt traffic but may help overall sales.

So best thing is to remove google crap from the site?
 
In germany google analytics is nearly dead if you have no interaction like a login. The user must be able to block analytics, so its very ineffective here. Many Sites droped google analytics here. So i dont think there is an effect anymore.

I don't think anyone at Google cares about volume. A better metric to gauge a website's sales is the conversion rate. If you have two visitors a week on garlic presses page and they both buy it, you have a 100% conversion rate. I am sure that if this trend (high double-digits conversion rate) continues, Goole will actually improve your ranking.

If, on the other hand, you have 1000 visitors to your garlic press page and only 2 buy it, you have a 0.1% conversion rate. So, obviously there's something wrong with your offer/website/ad-copy/product/pricing etc that users are not comfortable.

And if at the same time, one of your competitors sells 2 garlic presses for every 100 visitors (2% conv rate and 10x better than yours), then who do you think Google considers more valuable and better fitted for the keyword?

He does this in order to better understand the user. To know what kind of advertising to give him.

Most users use Google Chrome - whether Google Analytics is installed on your site or not, Google knows very well how the user behaves on your site.
 
Yes they are using google identity (because dumbasses browse the WWW logged into Google) and those users' habits for ranking.

Since dumbasses are logged into google spyware while browsing the WWW, Google knows their medications, income, habits, everything.

What can they do?

Well through this spyware, Google knows if the visitors to your site own a Tesla and make U$ 500k a year or if they're from some third world country and can't spend any $$$

Google spyware like analytics is doing this everywhere. YES your site ranking is affected by it. NO I have no idea what can be done about it until DUMB FUCKING ASSES stop using Google services using their real identity.
 
lo i think Google should make those site with google adsense ad rank more partly because they also earn from google ads , so make those site with adsense google ads rank more easily and rank

Not going to lie, I sign in to google and have targeted ads enabled because believe it or not, it actually helps me find stuff i’m looking for with more precision, like it’s supposed to? Not to mention improve convergence and workflows. Not sure what part of that makes me a dumbass lol or why.
 
i stopped using google analytics on my blogs years ago.... :rolleyes:
 
Well, you could simply work with a developer to create your own analytics platform or just purchase a system.

Right now, I'm testing out a script called 66 Analtyics, that you can purchase for personal or Saas usage. According to the demo page, it says that you own your own data plus it includes heat maps and replays of the user's actual browsing of your website. While it's not detailed in terms of features, it looks pretty damn good for an alternative.

I'm in the testing phase on a demo account, so I'm not promoting the script but letting you know that you can get your own analytics system in play, which allows you to keep your data.

Check out https://www.producthunt.com/posts/66analytics for details about it and view the demo page to preview it. I'd like to hear what y'all think about it.

Note that I'm not affiliated with the product, just responding to the idea of using an analytic system that allows you to keep your own data.

And yes, I have no idea why it seems so surreal to you but believe it or not, I do find Googles products and services to be helpful, actually rather professionally enriching to use without needing to hide under my bed worrying cause ‘they out to get us’. Jesus. Get a grip buddy!
I guess everyone has their own definition of ‘dumbass’.
