Google Analyics Competitors Info

If you have access to a competitions / major players google analyics info, how would you use this information to generate traffic to your own sites (obviously if your site had similar content).

For example would you just use the keywords that bring traffic to the site, Long-tail keywords perhaps ?

Do you work for The News of the World?

There is only one way you can get that sort of info!!

If you were any good at SEO and had a similair site you would already know the relevant kw long tail or not!!

Well more to the point maybe he did work for News of the World and he is now looking for other opportunities. You know old habits are hard to break.

lol no I'm not involved in the news of the world

I'm just interested in how you can use competitors google analyics information to build your own NEW site.

So for example in this case I'm asking what information would you extract that's useful? Only keywords ?

Would you just use the list of keywords and start up your own site and create content around the long tail keywords then build links, or is there other stuff you would also do ?.

Besides keywords would be interested referrers are driving traffic, what countries if I'm global (there's always a surprise I have found), what's getting downloaded (maybe a product giveaway), how long are the visits for, top search strings...

Download and export all keyword,and make your site based on this keywords.

yeah been checking it out pretty cool for keyword research for niches
