Oh dear, seo on social media. That's really tough and will kill many linking tool like xrumer if big G heading that way.

yea i think google, is trying to get away from the common way they give credit to links ... which will make it a lot harder to use automated tools.

One big question is how do they know the differenc between a link posted to tw*tter as a bot versus as a real human? Seems a bit far-fetched IMHO.

The assumption was made that since it comes from google's engineers, that the information is somehow more valid. I don't know about that. It behooves google to spread disinformation about their algorithm changes so as to confuse anyone trying to "game" it.
