Google Algorithm Update Just Now?

All my Dutch sites (about a 100 of them) are still going strong, 70% of them are blackhat doorway-pages, with 99% the same content on a .info domain and tiered GSA backlinks, so i think you have done something wrong yourself

100 sites wauw dat is veel :)

Putting any site that you do anything remotely dodgy with into WMT is pretty dumb

Nice news! I'm thinking to delete all my "dodgy" sites from GWT.
But what to leave the same sites just on Google Analytics? Is it also dumb?

Most "SEO expert" blogs miss the big updates. They only copy and paste what Google releases on the webmaster blog afterwards, copying word for word.

Ah man I totally agree with you. Most of these "SEO Expert Blogs" are cookie cutter sites in the image of God of SEO and that Matthew bloke. It's gotten to the stage where you just know when reading them they haven't ever actually ranked a site. It's kinda the SEO version of "This man drove to Costco, you won't believe what happens next" - except there's no funny video, just a kiddie fiddler or some bloke from England warbling on about tiered links - or something...

Haven't read a post on an SEO blog for 4 months now. Feeling good about it too!

Let's let the dust settle on this "update" and see what we're all dealing with then. My money is on nothing, could be something - patience is the key!

There's no change in the rankings of any of my money sites, OP. I think low-value linkbuilding caused your downfall.

I can't see any changes on my website. Maybe Google is just testing and will just update the algorithm soon.

Guys i need some help with your view on this scenario which affected two of my site on Dec 10 and they had a significant impact :

1. Site 1: Gained some obvious negative backlinks from hacked sites by 5 Dec and lost by Dec 9 and also lost some minor good backlinks , but if you see overall data , i lost significant backlinks both good and bad on 9th Dec.

2. Site 2: Had one or two negative backlinks lost by Dec 03 .

Now Site 1 took a massive fall on Dec 10th and i can observe some specific types of pages are removed from the index for which i was ranking so well , not to mention the negative backlinks were linking those kinds of pages .

Site 2 also took some hit on the same day but not as much as Site 1 and the same kind of pages were removed as both the sites contained similar url structure but different content on them.

Guys , please help me assess a possible correlation between these events so i can do the necessary , i know something happened on Dec10 in a small scale but i am unsure is it the link factor or something related to my pages on the site.

Not to mention that we never had any issues with panda related thing .

Sorry for my bad english :)

Thank you.

SEO Round Table is reporting a Dec 10th update, they even link to THIS thread ironically https://www.seroundtable.com/google-search-ranking-fluctuations-continues-21342.html lol. So perhaps SOMETHING happened, but I can only say this: it hasn't effected any site I'm watching much and it isn't Penguin.

If anything its either: Another small algorithm update (those happen quite often it seems), or Google has taken action on another "hit list" of sites (typically PBNs or sapes) in which case you'll notice a lot of deindexing of links your sites have.

If we knew the niches that are reporting an effect it might help, but as usual people don't like to get very specific. I can tell you this, it hasn't been hitting my consumer ecommerce sites.
