google algorithm change , bye bye autoblogs ?

google officially announced change in its algorithm this time , making it clear it that search results will be flushed from sites with large content copied from around the web or even re written content (low quality content) :eek:

news had been popping since last couple of days after the announcement .

The wise are those making money online now. They know how to beat those Google algo.
 
This is at least the 20th post I've seen on this. Does anybody actually read the forums? :rolleyes:

New algorithm is universally improving my rankings for all of my keywords. I don't run content farms and never have--all of my content for both my properties and my website is unique. As for rewrites, if your rewriting is hit by this algorithm update, you're doing it wrong and you should probably pay someone else to do it for you. If you rewrite it properly, Google should not be able to tell the difference between your rewrite and unique, high quality content!
 
As Mokodoki said, if you do it right in the first place then you shouldn't have anything to worry about.

Make sure you have link diversity also. If you only did bad article marketing then that sucks for you.

I've seen a decent rise in the SERPs for most of my sites because I don't just focus on article marketing.
 
Guys, seems like there are mixed reactions after the "so popular" anti-demand google update

Yeh , its been about an week for the update and it would take some time to actually notice
the what google has been upto some say its a big corporate move for some it might be just harder to rank with
auto generated content .

Would still like to follow and monitor whats going in terms of ranking , maybe have a pinned thread with daily updates
until we have a clear idea on what exactly has changed and how to blackhat it ;)
 
After reading the official google post at its official blog, it seems clear that the google
algorithm change had impacted only about 11.8% of the search queries/keywords.

This may seem to be small percentage however it is definately huge in terms on number keyword/queries affected ,
meaning those who are hit/going to be hit :(
for the rest of 89% :)

any thoughts , because the way people had been posting feedbacks 1/10 (those 11%) people are hit badly while most of them are doing fine .

in the last day or so we launched a pretty big algorithmic improvement to our ranking—a change that noticeably impacts 11.8% of our queries—and we wanted to let people know what's going on. This update is designed to reduce rankings for low-quality sites—sites which are low-value add for users, copy content from other websites or sites that are just not very useful. I have noticed ehow's rankings have improved dramatically. some people are saying they had something to do with this, because most of ehows top competitors like: hubpages, squidoo, howtodothings, ezinearticles, articlebase have been hit hard and in turn ehow's competitors = fucked. Google would be the looser if those sites are hammered. Google makes a lot of adwords money through those big sites. In addition, there are many ways of beating those new google algo. Google is not perfect. There are many loopholes in all that they do.

Google May Day update = Death of Micro Niche Sites
Google Duplicate Content update = Death of Autoblogs
Google Farmer Update = Death of Bum Marketing

The message is clear - think quick bucks and compromise on quality and the next Google update would get you out of business. But focus on real business with useful, quality content and watch your website grow stronger with each algorithm update.
