Google adwords tool accurate with competition level??

Is the google adwords tool accurate with the competition level of some keywords? How does it rank that? I found some keywords that were extremely low competition and then I googled those keywords and like 100 million results came up... I find google adwords is more accurate than market samurai though.

This level shows the competition in adwords for the keyword(s) not the competition inside the search results.

Try traffic travis for examining competition in the serps, the free version works fine.
