Adwords is a tool to get direct lead to your products,... Don't use it just to increase traffic, costly !!

Checkout the adwords traffic estimator tool, this will show you how competitive your keyword is and the number of global and local searches. Obviously the more competitive a keyword is the more it will cost-per-click.
So you need to decide what your cost per acquisition figures or how much you are prepared to pay per lead/sale/signup. Use a free voucher and see if these figures workout for you. If they do, then off you go.
Please note that the estimator tools can be as much as 20% inaccurate.

adwords is very tricky and then after you spend a bunch of time getting good on there and getting cheap clicks they can ban you for no apparent reason. I know I used to spend over $1k/month there - and they didn't like 1 of my ads - which by the way they had already approved - and then WHAM!... suddenly the closed my account. I think they're dumbasses - who would throw away $1k/month - unless you of course are a bunch of snotty - idiots.

sometimes PPC is just the better option at the start, have your SEO ticking away in the background but if you want trackable results and you want them now then PPC is the way to go, using a free voucher will cost you nothing and you can even create multiple accounts and use a free voucher in each of them to test different keywords groups.
Run with the one that performs best and then you know what your target keyword is for your SEO efforts. its all about finding the keyword that converts best for you and this is a good way of doing it.

For Teen Chatting going social is the way to go.
Create a fan page and you can start driving traffic using Facebook PPC to your fan page for a few cents. .03 cent per like. Then you can drive people from the fan page to your chat site.
Also Use twitter. You can even set up a fan site for a celebrity or super fad product like "Silly Brandz" or something trendy. Then take people from that site and drive them to yours.
Lastly - go to fiverr and get someone to make a few videos, upload them to youtube and it will drive additional traffic. I never make videos anymore when they only cost $5.00
