Google adwords keyword tool help

hello ,im doing some keyword research using the adwords tool ...im looking for keywords to base my money site around ,how do you go about picking keywords to try to rank good for?

is this a good keyword

I look for $2+ CPC and 100k+ local, myself.

Do a exact match search and above 5000 local searches

how do i look up the cpc? and as far as how hard it would be to rank for that keyword i should just look at the competition corret?

If you're targeting the UK, don't bother using it.
And even if you aren't, take it with a grain of salt.
It's a tool from an advertising vendor designed to sell it's users more advertising than they need, definite bias.

Export the data from google keyword.
Use stealth keyword competition analyzer to check competition.
If you don't have the tool, just search google with tool name+blackhat.

There are many factors you should look at, the main thing we need is details. The more details the better. Keyword research is fine and dandy, you can get millions of visitors to your site but if they don't convert, whats the point? Traffic, Acquisition, Conversion.

Google Adwords Tool does not give the SEO competition. They give the PPC competition which is useless unless you want to do PPC. However, if you're doing Adsense, you'd want a high Adwords competition. You get SEO competition from manually checking the keywords or just pasting 200-800 keywords into a keyword tool and letting the tool sort out the good keywords for you.

The CPC listed in the google adwords tool next to the kws IS NOT the correct CPC

this CPC is for adwords BUYERS, not for adsense
you must use the "contextual tool" in google adwords tool

this CPC number is much lower than the other CPC you see displayed (the incorrect one)
