    Hi,

I need some help, is BING cheaper to run ADS with then Adwords and which one would you prefer over the other?

    Your input is much appreciated.

Your view is too narrow. It's not about being cheaper.

If I told you, yes definitely Bing is cheaper, why forget Google? First, Bing is not that much cheaper and I or anyone else could tell you it is, but that doesn't mean it would be for you. Second, since Google is much more popular, you want to use it, more sales and profits for you which is the goal. You would not use it just because you'd be paying two cents a click more? That doesn't make too much sense.

Use both. Use other ad networks as appropriate.

Both Networks have there own pros and cons, while Bing is cheaper but we have seen lower conversion rates too, so it comes out Equal to Adwords, and we have seen adwords working well in some niche's, so its all up to you, what i suggest is to keep testing and checking until you find whats working for you.

Adwords got tons more traffic than Bing so be ready to spend. The CPC is about the same as Adwords.

There are many factors. For some campaigns Bing is better and vice versa. You have to do extensive testing.

Depends on your niche and the kind of traffic/customer base you need to target.
Usually Adwords costs more in terms of avg. Bid value however for most products it is the best performing in terms of conversions. So basically you pay a little more and get a lot more value in return.
You can though bring down the CPA over a period of time if you optimize your campaign properly.

Nobody has the precise info for your niche, OP. You gotta experiment. Unfortunately CPC takes money to get right (doesn't everything else?)

PPC pricing is based on the 2nd highest bidder, you essentially pay what they are willing to pay.

If the price is less it's because there is less competition. It does not mean one is better than the other...

Try both, see which works. I tried bing but we mainly target long tail stuff, which even on google has under 50 searches a month. On bing it's probably 10% of that again so it's very slow for us compared to adwords.

Try it though, no one will know what works off the top of their head.

I know what you are trying to say but it's not clear and will confuse many.

Your pricing is based on the competitor below you. If you are ranked 4th (ranking is based on your QS and bid), the competitor in 5th place (just below you) is the determining factor on what you pay.

Google has published the basic cost calculation. I'm sure Bing uses the same. There may be more to it but this is the essence:

cost = competitor ad rank / your QS

ad rank is QS times bid

If you play around with numbers, you can see how it affects your cost. The best way to protect yourself is improving your QS.

Less competition may mean lower costs. But all it takes is one to bid much higher than typical for a niche. If they happen to be the one below you on a consistent basis, it will affect your costs. I don't care if you're on Bing, Yahoo or Google, it will appear that it's higher on that platform. But the point as said is not which is cheapest.

Also, there are differences between platforms and you should try to exploit them. You may have a great campaign on Google producing different results on Bing and the reverse can be true. Think outside the box and optimize according to where your ads are showing.

The OP was not asking about how costs are calculated, so I opted for the very simple summed up point on costs.

You are of course right, but it's nothing to do with what the OP was asking.

Its all about the niche, and mainly about the conversion, best traffic one can get in adwords which I prefer.
