I've heard mixed reports about whether Google will ban you from Adsense for not having high enough of a CTR. I have a relatively new site that i've done NO SEO on, it's a legit site that i regularly added content to. My viewers have been increasing by 50-70% every month, but due to the nature of the site it covers a vary broad segment of a topic. I am shooting up t a total of from a total of 350 visitors in April to 595 visitors for the month of May (estimated based on average daily visits), every day i get a penny from ad impressions, but no click-throughs. Has anyone out there had issues with getting banned from adsense in a similar scenario?

P.S. a fun unrelated fact. This site, which i've done no SEO with, is ranking front page of Google for a variety of search terms, and that's why traffic is ramping up so quickly. It's designed to be a tutorial site for a certain field, which is probably why it's growing so fast, not that having 600 visitors is anything to sneeze about.

You won't get banned from that.

You will get banned if you click your own ads.

But, more importantly, you need a lot more traffic. At 600 visitors a month you won't make much unless the CPC is very high.

Try picking some higher volume keywords, or a lot more long tail keywords. That way you can get more traffic.

Thanks, oh i'm not worried about traffic, it will come with time, i just put Ad Sense up early to avoid the drop in rankings that I've seen that is typical from adding ads to a site after it's launched. I just don't want google to smack me for not getting the conversions that a lot of people get.

Adsense does have an extreme amount of publishers but unless you void there TOS they will not ban you. You can install types of software that helps combat click fraud. I dont really use Adsense as a main source of income but I have heard of this type of software/plugins that you can install onto your site depending on how its set up e.g what type of CMS you use etc..

I have not been banned from adsense and I only make about $100 a year.
