Google Adsense: OfferWall - New ad type (content locker)

By activating the OfferWall (Beta) on your website you can force your visitors to watch an ad and gain access to your website content for a certain number of hours/days/months. It's working like a content locker, but less simple and it does not need much engineering to set-up. It may not be avaible to everyone but for who it is, to setup an OfferWall Ad just go to Privacy & messaging and scroll down the page. You should see something like this:

Just be sure to set the ad to be displayed after 0 pageviews, so every single user will get monetized. They also show earning statistics. Just click on the Offerwall and you should see something like this:

I will suggest to reduce the number of automated ads for one week and test with the offerwall.

I am seeing this too, how are sites getting effected? Rise in income, drop in traffic, bounce rate, would like to know before jumping the gun on this one.
 
1.3K messages shown resulted in 1.83EUR for me so far. It's the second full day of displaying this.

It's seems to be a slight delay in updating the revenue. The 3.23EUR reflects 1.3K Ads shown, not the 2.5K, so it's slightly misinforming, but the overall revenue it's increasing.
 
Those numbers look low as I assume they are equal to page views.

This is in Google Adsense? I don't see it in my account yet. Maybe a test of some sort?
 
Earning €1.83 from 1.3K messages is low. To improve, focus on better targeting, more traffic, and testing different ad networks.

I do have quite a lot of traffic on my website but adsense earnings are not the best. But the ROI is very good, it's 919% ROI for me.

Step-by-step:​


  • Investment (Cost): €22 every 3 months = approx €7.33/month
  • Revenue: £60–£70/month
    Let’s take the average: £65/month

Assume the exchange rate is approximately £1 = €1.15 (you can adjust this if needed).


  • Revenue in euros:
£65×1.15=€74.75£65 \times 1.15 = €74.75£65×1.15=€74.75
  • Net Profit (Revenue - Cost):
€74.75−€7.33=€67.42€74.75 - €7.33 = €67.42€74.75−€7.33=€67.42
  • ROI:

I'm investing 22 eur every 3 months to keep my website up and it generated between 60-70 GBP every month. According to chatGPT it's a 919.7% ROI.
 
RPM is very poor, but Google can tell where the traffic comes from and it treats the click amount accordingly.

Twitter for instance is rubbish.

Google certainly knows how to screw us that's for sure.
 
my page RPM is $3 without offerwall.
now I've started testing it from last 4 days.
I'm inserting offerwall ads after every 2 page views (that's what i've selected in the settings inside adsense) but what google does is.. its showing 5-6 pages and then again offerwall appears! It should be after every 2 page views actually.

what setting have you choosen? showing offerwall once a day (per visitor)? or after certain page views?
 
I have set to be displayed after 0 pageviews. So technically every visitor should first see the offerwall ad and then carry on. This should reset every 24h. Maximum conversion rate.

How do you know it's maximum conversion rate?

Here's a quick update. Revenue increased for me. Like that's an 18 euro on top of my usual earnings so everything is good so far.

It’s an old thread, but I need to ask you: Where do most of your visitors come from when you run this Offerwall in AdSense—Tier 1, Tier 2, or Tier 3?
