Google Adsense:die or not? Best analogs?

Hey guys, some time ago some guys from bhw motivate me to make a site, and one of the way which i chose to monetize it is the ad banners. Is the Adsense actual now or not? I want to get paid by PayPal. Im hearing something about AdCenter, what you can say about it ? In general, is there any something great ad networks ? Thx, sorry for bad English.
