Hello, I created a Google ads campaign about a month ago and set it up running but the conversion rate is very low, it is a smart campaign. Can you give me some proposals to increase the ROI?

without the context, no one can tell you what to do and what not to do,
may be it's a bad setup
may be it's Copy
may be it's your landing page.
Tons and tons of reasons to figure out.
You need to hire a google ads expert to give you a proper solution to your problem.

Try to create an expert campaign and target only the keywords you need.

it's hard to give an exact answer to your question
It may be because your advertising budget is low, it may be because of your product, it may be because the audience you are targeting in your advertising strategy is not correct, maybe the ad content and images are not eye-catching, ...and many other reasons

@aliengains is on point here. You question is lacking a lot of information.
It resembles calling to a car mechanic saying that your car won't start, or to a doctor saying that you have a pain.

it is a smart campaign
In a Google Ads smart campaign, usually, conversions will be low. In a smart campaign, the selected keywords are based on "themes" rather that being based on specific keywords, although the interface will make it look like it is based on specific keywords. In a smart campaign, one cannot add negative keywords !!!
Smart campaign means no control over where your ads will appear, ads can get shown in Google Search Network, Google Display Network and Google Search, Maps, YouTube, Gmail, and on Google partner websites !!! Not all of these are ideal for conversions and Google partner websites are notorious for bot types of clicks (on ads).
Also, there is no search term report for smart campaign.
Therefore, it is better to pause the smart campaign and create a campaign in expert mode, so that all the possible avaliable campaign setup options can be used towards getting better or more conversions and lesser ad costs.

  1. Keyword Optimization: Review and refine your chosen keywords to ensure they align closely with your target audience's intent.
  2. Ad Copy Refinement: Craft compelling ad copies that clearly convey your value proposition and encourage clicks.
  3. Landing Page Optimization: Streamline your landing page to match the ad's message and make the conversion process seamless.
  4. Negative Keywords: Exclude irrelevant keywords using negative keywords to improve ad targeting.
  5. Budget Allocation: Adjust your budget to allocate more funds to well-performing ads and keywords.
  6. Ad Extensions: Utilize ad extensions like site links and callouts to provide additional information and enhance visibility.
  7. Conversion Tracking: Ensure accurate conversion tracking to measure and optimize campaigns effectively.
  8. Geo-Targeting: Refine your targeting settings to focus on regions where your target audience is more likely to convert.
  9. Ad Schedule Optimization: Analyze when your audience is most active and schedule ads accordingly.
  10. A/B Testing: Continuously test variations of ads, keywords, and landing pages to identify what resonates best.
Implementing these strategies should help improve your smart campaign's conversion rate and overall ROI.
