For those running PPC,
Are you getting better results from search intent traffic or social media ads?

Trying to decide where to focus more....

Search traffic usually converts better because people are already looking for a solution.
Social ads are great for creating demand and scaling, but they often need stronger creatives and funnels.
If the goal is quick conversions, focus on search. If it’s awareness and growth, social can work really well.

Google Search Ads convert better — high intent, ready-to-buy traffic.

Social Ads are better for awareness and scaling.

If you want direct sales → focus on search.

I tried both, but I liked Google Ads more, but now it’s more expensive, as if for a start, if the budget allows for testing, etc., then Google is better

Search intent (Google Ads) generally yields higher conversion rates (average 4–6%) because users are actively looking to make a purchase. Social ads excel at brand discovery and lower CPCs, but often require retargeting to match the immediate ROI of search-based PPC.

In finance, it depends on your goal.

  • Search intent (PPC) usually delivers higher conversion rates because users already have intent. Lead quality tends to be stronger and more stable.
  • Social ads are better for scaling and demand generation, but require a solid funnel and education-first messaging to work well.
If budget is limited → focus on search first.
If you want to scale → use social to build audiences and retarget strategically.

It depends on your product or service. If you are selling high-ticket products, Google Ads will be a better choice. For lower-priced products or those focused on entertainment and consumer use, other social media platforms tend to perform better.

For me, search intent traffic usually converts better because users already have a clear need. Social ads are great for awareness and scaling, but search tends to be more consistent in terms of ROI. Ideally, I’d use social to create demand and search to capture it.

Both can work well depending on the goal. Google Ads usually converts better for high-intent searches, while social ads are great for discovery and brand awareness. A balanced approach often works best—capture intent with search and build demand through social campaigns.

I recommend google ads. But Expensive. Optimize your campaign properly by a true professional.

In my experience, search ads usually convert better because the traffic already has intent. When someone searches for a specific product or service, they’re often closer to making a decision. That’s why campaigns on Google Ads can perform well for direct conversions, especially in niches where people actively search for solutions.

Social ads, on the other hand, are better for reaching new audiences and building awareness. Platforms like Facebook Ads or Instagram Ads can work well for targeting specific interests and running retargeting campaigns. Ideally, combining search for high-intent traffic and social for audience building often produces the best overall results.
