Do any of you run any ads to your YT channel?

Yesterday I sat up both Google- and FB ads to test with a very cheap budget. The FB ad I made is only for getting people to subscribe while the Google ads are promoting my videos through keywords in hope of people want to watch them - and subscribe. As I have heard, Google ads won't give you any watch hours, only views if I'm not wrong.

Have you any experience with Google or FB ads? I would love to know more since I've been lurking about this topic, and did not find so much info about it here on BHW, maybe I'm a bad lurker? :D Mostly of the YT videos I found about this topic is very old, from the start of 2020 or older

what is your goal? subs? watch hours? growing channel? selling a product?
each platform has it + and -.

My goal is maybe later in 2021 to reach both 1k subs and 4k watch hours, so yeah it would be growing the channel. Maybe after a while when I get a bigger audience, I might sell a product or service

from my experience for growing the channel, Google Ads are better even if compaign is not successfful + no watch hours
but you need good videos in your niche.. because google will recommende your next uploads or other videos
fb ads are good for watch hours and converting to subscribers (i didn't spend a lot of money with fb ads)

Until now the google ads have worked out best, but my ads have not been running for even 24h yet, so I'll see which ads that perform good and kill the "bad performers". My fb ads are just straight out when they click the ad they come directly to my channel with a popup to subscribe or not. My budget for this while I test are $1 per day, per ad, on both fb and google

Not much I started some days ago with cheap budget, around $1.60 has been spent, 110 link clicks, but I'm not sure how many of the subs came from fb ads tho. gained around 10 subs in total since I started with both google and fb ads

I've spent so far $200 on YoutubeAds to push one of my ads
I am testing different ways of targeting to get the highest engaged viewers. Goal is to get the best targeting where the 100% viewed video percent is highest.

Are you still using paid ads to boost your youtube videos?
