Hey guys,

Google is diffferent in 2026.

Performance max campaigns are being pushed more than manual campaigns.

They want you to advertise everywhere and let them do the work for you.

They’re becoming more like Meta advertisement IMO.

I miss the good old Google!

What’s working for you guys these days?

PMax with strong asset groups and tight audience signals still beats manual for most accounts if you feed it good data. The trick is excluding brand terms and layering in customer match lists so it doesnt just retarget people who would have converted anyway.

That’s how they maximize their profits from advertisers. When you allow automatic keywords, your budget can be spent very quickly.

Yeah now Performance Max work best, let Google do targeting, focus on good assets and budget.

I’d say experiment with a mix but don’t put all your eggs in one basket—keep testing what works while sticking to what’s allowed. Sometimes the old methods still have hidden value if used carefully.

AI does many things automatically now, but I personally like manual bidding more. I think manual campaigns give better control over the budget.
For beginners, Performance Max can be a good option because it is easier to manage. But in my opinion, manual campaigns can use the budget more efficiently.

Yeah bro, same here, PMax is everywhere now, manual almost useless. I just let Google do its thing, focus on good creatives and audience signals. Also try to test Smart Shopping + PMax together, some niches still work better. Old Google was easy, now you just gotta trust AI more.

Yeah, Google has definitely changed a lot! Performance Max campaigns are getting a lot of focus now, and I get why,it's easier for Google to manage everything for you. But I still feel like manual campaigns give more control. These days, it’s all about smart bidding and high-quality creatives. I’ve been focusing more on audience targeting and using AI to fine-tune the ad copy. Definitely miss the old Google too, but you gotta adapt! What’s been working for you?

Yeah, it’s changed a lot, feels much closer to Meta now. PMax still works, but only if you feed it good inputs, creatives, signals, and clean structure. Also seeing better results just testing different angles instead of over-optimizing one campaign. Volume seems to matter more now. If you scale across accounts, just make sure setups don’t overlap, that’s where antidetect browsers usually come in.

It feels like google's trying to be meta, alright. honestly, i'm not a huge fan of letting the algorithm handle everything. i still lean towards manual campaigns for clients. gives you more control over where you spend your money and what kinda results you get. plus, you learn a lot more about your audience that way

The old Google Ads were good, yes, but they weren't as performant as they are now. I think they work much better now

I still test both manual and Performance Max campaigns and I dont like depend on only one campaign type because every account is different and Just keep testing both and see which one gives better results for your account because Sometimes manual works better, sometimes Performance Max do.

Google Ads has definitely become more automated. The main challenge now is giving the system good data and checking whether the results are actually profitable.

yeah google ads is changing alot now days andI think testing new campaigns and creatives is still working good becuase performance max works for some people but manual campaign also can give good good result
