To increase traffic, yes, Google Ads is great. If the Google Ads campaign is setup in an effective manner, then it can also attract targeted traffic.
But, to make a profit from the traffic generated through Google Ads, the answer is dependent on a lot of variables.

Besides the fact that the title and the main body text refers to different questions, would you accept "no" as an answer if someone would say it?
While google is the biggest advertisement platform atm.
Yeah of course, it’s good to increase traffic but it can’t be the only source of traffic
