I have a problem: a competitor has been clicking away my budget for several months now – over 20,000 clicks in the last 6 months.
Google recognizes a maximum of 10% of them as invalid.
with rotating proxies
My measures include daily IP blocking of entire blocks, but this also costs a lot of real users.
I now have over 30,000 IP addresses with 0 seconds and 0 interactions.
Up to 90% of clicks per day were fraudulent; even with the blocks, it's still at almost 50%.
Damage to ads alone costs approximately 60,000 US dollars. This does not include the loss of revenue.
Does anyone have any idea how I can stop this or what I can do?

How you know they are clicking, maybe campaign is just shitty and non profitable?

hmm that is actually really weird, but i think maybe you MIGHT be jumping the gun on if it really is your competitor or just a bad campaign, i think maybe look into cloaking, do you know who the competitor is? is there a way for you to contact him/her? have you tried any other way of running ads? its a shitty situation this

Yes, I know exactly who he is; he laughs when I tell him to stop; he knows I can't do anything.

Hey,

This is unfortunately very common right now — competitors using rotating residential proxies to drain budgets.

Blocking entire IP ranges manually is painful because you end up hurting real users too.

A tool that has helped a lot of people in similar situations is The Bot Lord (Google Ads Clicker / CTR Surge). It lets you run your own controlled clicks with very human-like behavior, which can help you understand and counter these attacks better.

Many users on Scale plan are running high volume with good results.

I've been doing my job for 30 years, and sorry, 30,000 visitors with 0 seconds on the page has nothing to do with a crappy campaign. Even if I were selling crap, the average visit duration would be longer. My site also loads very quickly.

Before declaring war on your competitors, make sure broad match keywords aren't doing more damage than they are.

Is hard for a competitors to do click fraud as the google have such good filters. Maybe check your campaign and make sure is performing right as performance
