Google ads dating policy (aggregator)

Hi everyone,


I’m looking for help or insights regarding Google’s newer dating-related policy changes. Since a few months ago, our website (a dating aggregator for serious relationship services only) has been heavily restricted in search visibility whenever Google doesn’t know the user’s age.


We do not list any adult, erotic, or sex-dating services — strictly long-term relationship and matchmaking platforms.
Additionally, we hold an official aggregator certificate confirming that our service meets all compliance requirements for non-adult, legitimate dating aggregation.


Despite that, Google still classifies us under the general “dating” category and suppresses our listings if the user hasn’t verified their age. This is severely impacting our traffic, and we’re unsure how to proceed.


My questions:

  1. Has anyone found legitimate solutions to get Google to correctly distinguish a serious dating/matchmaking aggregator from adult or general dating services?
  2. Is there a recommended way to request a manual re-review so Google recognizes the aggregator certificate and properly categorizes the site?

Any advice, experiences, or pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Try to contact Google or an insider (might be hard to find) to ask them for a manual review and provide them with your certificate. If that doesn't change anything you might want to start cloaking.

Google's policy allows matchmaking, matrimonial, and dating facilitation services. But certain categories such as hookups, affairs, fetish dating, or services with racy imagery are restricted, but can be bypassed with strong Google Ad accounts and good cloaking system
 
This is a frustrating situation! Google's stricter policies on dating sites are hitting legitimate aggregators hard. I recommend focusing on explicitly signaling your serious relationship focus through structured data markup (Schema.org) highlighting relationship goals and platform types, alongside consistently emphasizing this in your site content. You should also explore requesting a manual review via the Search Console "Report an issue" tool, clearly outlining your aggregator certificate and detailing how Google's classification is inaccurate; be prepared to provide substantial evidence of your non-adult focus.
 
I'm not sure it is worth using google ads anymore for dating CPA's are stupid nowadays, support is laughable and censorship rampant
 
I'm currently promoting this dating website, and everything is going well. The only thing I need to do is apply for dating verification, which can be done by filling out the form as required.
