Most people are having a hard time choosing what type of ads to go with and today Im just going to explain what the differences are in terms of results and expectations etc so you can get an idea on whats better for your niche depending on what results you want to achieve.
gambling / casino / betting
search ads without a doubt obviously. People searching for stuff like “best online casino” or “free spins” already have buying intent so you get higher CTR and better ROAS. Usually that is the best way from my experience when it comes to this niche.
display ads can 100% work too but mostly for retargeting or cold awareness butdont expect search level conversions there. Also with search you can target specific keywords and control spend better. The ROAS is usually higher as i said.
If you use display ads just use push traffic or telegram funnels with these, they convert insane. With pretty aggressive creatives
crypto
So similar to gambling, search ads is what I'd suggest here cause people looking for bots or signals usually wanna sign up or buy. Display ads are more for top-of-funnel stuff, like testing or building cold audience
I mean lots of guys use display on youtube too for awareness on crypto signals but conversions from display usually weaker. Because if you’re running a quiz funnel, search can get signups but display can bring volume fast so test both.
IPTV
here both search and display work solid apparently
search ads grab people actively searching “iptv service” or “best iptv provider” so conversions tend to be good.
So display ads work well for cold traffic with hooks like “watch 10 000+ channels free” or “stream sports live” like you can do direct push funnelss on display and they can scale nicely. So for iptv, mixing both is actually a smart move I think.
This is what most of my clients actually do.
Replica
shopping ads obviously first.
People want to see product images and prices fast so shopping ads get great CTR and better conversions than just search. Shopping category is where you can get the most solid results BUT search ads still work if your landing pages are strong but shopping ads tend to bring cheaper clicks and better ROAS overall.
Display ads are mostly for branding or retargeting. I mean like if you got nice creatives showing your products, they help warm cold traffic
For replicas, google shopping with cloaking can be tricky but if done right, you can get great results and a nice return.
Nutra
search ads work well in tier 2/3 countries
Display ads work but budget burns fast tbh.
Native ads are also a thing in nutra but that’s outside google and not really the subject here.
fitness / health (grey offers but kinda like nutra and stuff)
both search and display are good depending on the funnel, search ads work for people looking for “fat burner” or “12 min workout plan”
display ads good for cold traffic, video testimonials or before/after pics work well here. And fitness ads tend to get flagged easily so cloaking is a must which is why I said Grey hat.
Retargeting helps a lot cause initial conversions can be low but warming up the traffic pays off in the long run actually
Education / make money online
search ads are solid cause people are actively searching courses or “how to make money fast” stuff
display ads work but need to be careful,because thing is google is sorta picky with education/mmo ads etc so best to cloakproperly
Retargeting is a must, cold traffic usually needs warming up essentially
high ticket offers do better with search ads cause the cost per click is worth it
NSFW (cam sites/OF models)
For cam sites running search ads is what I'd suggest but display ads can still get pretty good results if you target the right ppl.
OF models on Google, forget that lol. I mean your not going to get any good results.
Im not saying it cant be done, because as long as your cloaking method is solid etc itll work, but results wise, you wont get amazing results I mean.
If you want to run ads for your OF models, you'd better run ads on Meta and TikTok.
So to kind of sum things up
if you want volume and lower CPC, display ads are your friend, but you should expect lower CTR and conversions
search ads get better quality clicks but sometimes cost more, so test your ROAS carefully
mix both when possible, like use display for cold traffic and search to catch intent buyers.
retargeting is good across all niches, use it to warm visitors or leads before "selling hard"
creatives matter a lot (i mean how eye-catchy / good looking they are) so if you wanna go with display it needs eye-catching images or videos
