Hi everyone,

We’ve been running Google Ads campaigns for months selling clothes and shoes, and everything was going smoothly. Suddenly, our account got suspended, and all campaigns are paused.

We’re unsure why this happened, and it’s a big issue because we rely on ads for revenue—SEO alone isn’t enough to drive sales.

Has anyone experienced something similar? What steps did you take to recover an account, or are there ways to manage ads safely while avoiding suspensions? Any advice or strategies would be greatly appreciated.

Yeah, this happens to a lot of ecommerce stores out of nowhere, even after months of running fine.
First thing: check the exact suspension reason in the UI (Policy Manager / account notifications). Most common triggers are billing/payment issues, “misrepresentation” signals, or something on the site (missing contact info, returns/refund policy, broken checkout, redirects, slow/buggy pages).

What usually helps before appealing:
- Make sure the site looks legit: full contact page, business address/phone/email, clear shipping + returns/refunds, privacy/terms, consistent branding.
- Fix any broken links, cart/checkout issues, and remove weird popups/redirects.
- Keep billing stable (same card/profile, no constant changes).
- Then submit an appeal with a simple explanation of what you fixed.

Google Ads suspensions commonly occur due to policy violations, payment issues, circumvention activity, or verification problems. The next step is to review the suspension notice, audit your website for any issues, and make an official appeal to revoke suspension.

are you running replicas? If so you'll need to use cloaking. Recovering an account is not easy, btw. Just cloak your page next time and you'll be safe

I’ve had similar issues before. What helped me was making sure review traffic never hits the real offer pages by setting up a proper safe page flow. I used TrafficShield to handle the traffic split, so reviewers only saw the safe page while real users went to the money page. Along with clean creatives and separate domains, it made the account much more stable and reduced random suspensions.

Yeah had this happen before. First thing: check the exact suspension reason in the Policy Manager / email , it usually points to billing, misrep, or “circumventing”.

Quick steps that helped me:
- fix the website basics: clear contact info, shipping/returns, business name, no broken links, no “too good to be true” claims
- make sure billing/payment method is clean and matches the business
- remove any sketchy apps/scripts that do redirects or change content
- then submit the appeal with a short, calm explanation of what you fixed

If it’s “circumventing”, don’t spam appeals ,clean everything first, otherwise it just gets denied fast.

If you believed that you did not violate any rules you can appeal it and submit the documents needed, as for my experienced if it is white hat it will surely reactivated.

What type of clothes and shoes? are they branded? What is the reason you got when getting banned?

Are you running replica ads? For those, you’ll need to cloak your ads properly. You can use tools like TrustCloaker, TrafficShield, or JCI to handle the cloaking—otherwise, your ads will keep getting banned.

Were you using different ad accounts for shoes and clothing, but operating them on the same device? If you run multiple ad accounts, it’s best to keep them isolated to reduce the risk of suspensions.

This is likely a policy violation, not a technical issue. Review the suspension reason in your account notifications; common triggers are trademark misuse, unrealistic claims, or a flagged payment method. The appeal must directly address the specific violation with evidence of compliance. Avoid creating new accounts (circumvention) as it leads to permanent blacklisting.

Appeal it and make sure you have the original documents match to the name provided in advertiser verification and company name

Maybe your ads flagged, you need the use cloaker i think.

Hey!!

You can PM me for the details but this happens a lot with Google Ads, even to legit e-commerce stores. Most suspensions are due to policy bots flagging site issues, billing problems, or “misrepresentation.” Check the exact reason, audit your website (contact info, returns, checkout), then submit one clean appeal. Don’t open a new account—it usually makes things worse.

Just submit an appeal (if it is rejected, write again) and there is a high probability that the account will be restored.
