Google - Adding "likes" to search results

    I came across this article and was curious to see what everyone else thought.

    I think this tells us quite a few things, the most important being that social media is probably going to be driving a lot of Googles returns in future. Sites that provide really good content and are well liked are going to be rewarded. While I dont think blog comment and forum profile links will become worthless, I do think that this rating system is going to start to become more and more important as people use it more.

    I can see a need for a product quite soon that automates this somehow :)

    Although in reality, its all going to come down to content again, which is not a bad thing at all.
