Hey Guys,

I saw a few threads about sites not moving past page 2/3 recently. Seems like there is some kind of issue happening here. It might be due to my site dancing but for a month now I have been building links and the site is not moving up, actually moved down from top of page 2 to 3 now. Seems like no matter what I do, it's fully sandboxed.

My site is over a year old......

Anyone else experiencing this?

Just read a thread here that there is a new update around the corner and Panda rules being rolled back.
Can only speculate until more information comes out.

That's not the sandbox.

I am more stuck on P 2/3 as well. However, my sites are just over a month old.

My site has not been impacted by Panda, it's a clean domain and the content is fully unique.

Seems like sites move up quickly to pages 2 and 3 then spends some time there before it moves up.

I confirm what harizd said; I've heard from several seo consultants that a new G update is about to be rolled out...

Rankings are not frozen, your site is just weaker than the competition in some way.

Before we all go patting each other on the back and saying 'ah I'm not ranking, must be an update or some other external factor I can blame that removes the responsibility from me and the work I have to do' (not that you are the one saying that), consider that your site is weak or your competition is strong.

I've personally put 2 websites (4 pages) on page 1 in the last month for medium competition terms, one of which was this week. Make sure you've nailed the on-site content first and then keep throwing quality links until it moves, that's pretty much all there is to ranking for anything, anywhere, ever.

Yeah but I was actually on page 1 before at the bottom and then I built some more links since I bounced to top of page 2 and then bounced to page 3 and now its just bounce 2 and 3 2 and 3

Lol man, profile links, pbns, sape, social shares, diveristy, web2.0, press release (not the $20 type), citations and everything else you can imagine is there. I keep building links, it's just stuck. I have seen this with a few sites.

It's hard to comment on any of the above without knowing the quality of what you're doing. You seem to be doing the right things (although SAPE rings an alarm bell) from what you say but I also don't know about the competition you face or whether you're doing thorough keyword research, personally I never pick a fight I can't win.

Most sites are mid-high comp terms in Toronto. It's not the links man, Google is acting weird.

Yep Same here with lots of sites in lots of different niches. Very frustrating, as it's hard to work out what the heck is going on.You are not alone!
I am thinking it will settle down soon enough. Patience is not my strong point though :)

Yep, I am on the same boat........

it's quite random but I'm seeing that too on some sites

I have couple tips for you.
1st of all get rid off SAPE links.
2nd what is your anchor to plain url (or generic anchors) ratio ?
3rd don't rank just 1 site in niche, you need at least 3. You will do exatly same stuff but they all will rank differently. Proved by lots of seo cases.

P.S. i have same problem with local websites. Much better backlinks profile but site is ranking on the 2nd page.
I see only 2 reasons age of site, my competitors have only couple of links but their sites are aged like 5 years vs 1 year. they rank higher with less seo.
2nd too many anchors, I analized all of my competitors they all build just generic anchors like brand name or url, 0 keyword anchors.

Pm me we can talk more about that.
