What is everyones thoughts on the new google +1 recommendations feature:

Is there a way we can take advantage of this? I'm sure Google would be smarter than to give it much of an impact on ranking.
As far as I am aware all you need is a google account and you can +1 a website in other words recommend it.
Anyway what are your thoughts?
