    Hi there.

I dont find anythin new about this on the forum or on google. I really dont know what to say right now as I am a bit confused.

I wounder, how is this tool , google +1, going to effect our SEO? Does this help our site in the SEO? I mean, if my website has 1200 +1, is that better then a site that has 20+ ?

Will you use this tool? Why? whats positive with this and negative?

Use the search function, there are plenty of these threads already.

Short answer: Currently not a factor for SEO

Longer answer: Implement it when possible as it will have some importance in time

I'd imagine its going to affect SEO in exactly the same way that all these Google Rip Offs of other peoples ideas do, NOT AT ALL :D

Seriously take a look at all the crap they launch, none of it ever takes off and they end up trying to buy out the company they were copying in the end anyway lol.
That said they do tend to add massive amounts of weight to their own projects in the short term till they drop them....

Aint this just a glorified bookmarking utility?

If Google are really that stupid to create a easily manipulated system to give strength to websites, now or in the future they are heading downhill.

I mean if this is really going to affect SEO, then Google might as well give their search engine empire over to Bing And Yahoo.

Why's that? Sorry, but I really dont understand what you mean..But then, It would take time for "us" who work with SEO, to find strategys to "rank" our sites better in the serps for yahoo and bing. Thats just because they dont use the same factor as Google do, for ranking a site.

    Google clutching at straws.
I wasn't joking when I said their launches go down the toilet most of the time. They're always reinventing the goddamn wheel. Android = Linux, Wave = Wiki, Knoll = Wiki Googlevideo = Youtube, the pump MILLIONS into these projects, and then when they die everyone forgets about them (and osmetimes they spend millions more buying the company they were ripping off).

For all Googles success dominating search they actually have a worse track record than Yahoo for launching services that people use. (I'm sure they will have success with one of them though :D).

Someone needs to do a case study!

However android and gmail are pretty succesfull imo.

+1 will be easy to manipulate though so this will be only better for us :p

They're doing pretty well :D (But I really don't like the fact that Google thinks its alright to brand linux and piss all over the open source movement....).

Gmail though is something different entirely. That isn't Google offering an Email service, Google's running it at a loss because any data left in your storage after 6 months becomes part of their database!

====> Not really sure that the +1 will be that easy fgor black hatters to manipulate either, we're alot like the deceptacons (in that we're on the same side, but like starscream we're always ready t oscrew one of our own over if it means we come out ahead), for every +1 you make your competitor will be making a -1 :D

Google Wave should become an online collaboration tool, not a wiki copy.
And Googlevideo is basically a search engine for video content. It is not a youtube clone but contains youtube results.

Google is doing quite well. i think google want to "become the internet". Cloud Computing is a hot topic atm and Google is one of the big players. Google Docs, Google Apps, Google Marketplace, Google App Engine,... All those tools will help Google reaching their goal.

There are already a few free +1 plugins out, just add them to your
    posts, can't do any harm.

Well, I hope the Big G dosent own the whole internet process in a few years. If they do, what will we do?

I mean, We SEO our sites to improve the serp, for one reason. If G ban us, what will happen then? bing and yahoo can never catch google.

Google is like a spiral thats confusing evry one, including them selves.

they wont. They keep failing to make big impact in social aspect, which is going to be more appealing to the advertisers in the future. Not now though
