Obviously, google+ button will help your website. More and more people decide to implement it, because if google created it then it must affect the ranking, apart from driving direct traffic to your site. Also adding this button is very easy, so there is nothing to lose here

Google’s +1 helps to improve the website traffic through an improved search ranking.
A Google +1 can indirectly lead to a better page rank. A greater number of +1’s increases a link's potential for a high CTR, which could lead to increased social sharing, and in turn can increase its Google search rank.

In my experience, currently Google+ doesn't do anything regarding search engine rankings. It can help with traffic if people see your post on people's Google+ page, but that's if they share it. A 'like' doesn't appear to do anything significant, which is why I've not bothered with any click jacking plugins.
