Openai is not doing anything to "replace" any job, it's traning ai to do tasks and it's getting pretty got at what it's doing. Too bad for those who can't adapt to ai.
 
When chat gpt only needs itself to reprogram itself, then maybe we should be worried! lol

i know folks like Deleted member 923340 are just unbelievable at what they do, but if a prompt has the knowledge and process of what a software engineer can do then i'd be very very surprised

little brother is just about finished acing a 3 year degree and he's still going "thaaat's what Deleted member 923340 was talking about" every week... software engineers to dev ops are going nowhere...
 
The good part about A.I.is that it cannot produce brand new knowledge, it can only scrape the web for already existing knowledge and summarize it in a "unique output".
Am I wrong about it?

You are right though, however if updated code libraries and documentation is fed to the A.I. it has the ability to create very good code for anything.

For sure there will be people selling their "Prompt Engineering Course". Personally I think these are not useful at all. I think you are better off buying prompts, and the most important factor of all is training your creativity to do such a skill.

AI is an extension of our mind as a hammer is to a hand.
AI doesn't even understand what is going on or what understanding means.
AI is void of meaning.

Still, you can make some fantasy stories that will never happen.
