so i was browsing the net today and saw that my toolbar PR checker isn't working anymore ... hooraaaaaaay!

but one thing is for sure.. google is not updating their PR anymore for few months. I believe they have some hidden non verbal contract with Moz. eventually web is shifting to MOZ metrics of their DA and PA. google for sure has to get rid of their PR metrics.. they don't own the patent of it as well. it seems google is more on social signals, specifically google plus.
 
Your IP will be banned from the PageRank checker. Happens to me every now and again.

You should get some proxies or use a tool like this.
 
Does PR even matter? I have PR0 websites ranking #1 and #2 for their respective keywords..
 
it wont disappear but whe nthey update the PR finally it will coem with some big ass algo update too
 
Pretty sure PR will remain .. whether it gets the same weight as before is anyone's guess .. google has not updated in a long time but why would they reinvent another metric when they have something already ?

PR used to update itself before the spam era :) now it's done semi-manually :)

i was just hoping it wasn't an error and PR is removed as a lot of people take advantage of newbies and sell HIGH PR LINKS on fiverr and other fiverr clones

my new motto will be "DA & PA mofo! DO YOU HAVE IT ?!"

The good thing about PR is it provides an easy reference point to start researching a url/site. Until I find a tool that can mass check lists for PA and DA it's going to be the starting point.

There's a good business idea for a talented coder. I claim my $5 commission from the bright idea fund :-)
 
i already have that tool... and the moz api allows 2000 searches a day on their servers and up to 10.000 a day if you host it on your own server :)

ahhaha. I have PR: N/A and PR: 0 websites pulling in $100/day with tens of thousands of unique views/day.

PR.. ahhah.
 
PR doesn't matter, and I don't think it will disappear forever, Google just won't update the PR's. Maybe next year.
 
they can't remove it until they have tested pa/da fully and have got contract from moz to use pa , da.

contract of google with owner of pr is going to end in 2014 .
