Anyone know of any popular web-hosts that don't ask you to scan your passport to 'verify' fucking $6.99 monthly hosting?

UnderHost doesn't ask. Nor does BlueHost (although I haven't used them in awhile so this policy may have changed)

I always seem to check out webhosting talk forums if you want. They have a great selection of threads to choose from that can give you a pretty good amount of hosts to pick from. I kinda think of that place as a flea market online of just pure web hosts. You can find pretty much from shared hosting, all the way to enterprise solutions in that place if you look pretty good.

And i think it doesnt get more competitive than this, you can find some good deals if you have the time.

That's strange I have never been asked to provide any documentation. I have signed up for plenty of accounts with Hosterbox, hostgator, hawkhost etc. and they never ever asked me to provide any documentation
