Good Sites to Ping

I'm developing a tool to bulk ping multiple sites automatically (xmlrpc). I'm collecting good ping servers to add to it. Which ones do you recommend?

One that I don't like pingomatic. Sometimes, it doesn't work and returns errors (maybe it's a flaw in my script, but idk).

I would like to hear your suggestions.
