Good products to sell on E bay/Amazon?

#1 Research! Do an advanced search and search on completed auctions. Simply browse around and check what is selling and get an idea of prices and what items sell for.
#2 Just browse eBay in the different catagories and see what items have a lot of bids. Think about where you can get those items.
#3 Getting your own inventory. Surprisingly clearance items at regular B&M stores many times can be sold profitably on eBay. Browse around stores...take notes...look up the items on eBay...can you make a profit? If yes buy the item and resell.
#4 Trial and error...everyone who sells has some hits and some misses. You basically just learn through experience. When you find an item that sells well...keep on selling the item if you can. If you are lucky you find a great source and great item that sells like hotcakes...but you always need to be thinking about the next item because there are a lot of copycats that will take your business when they figure things out.
#5 Learn how to enter items with good pictures, good descriptions, professional looking auctions...to me this is the most overlooked area in eBay. Who would you feel more comfortable buying items from? Someone who puts a one line description or an auction that answer all of the questions you might have before you even ask? Marketing 101!
#6 When you find items that look to be selling well and you cannot figure out where they are buying their inventory start searching google...a lot of times you can find a bulk source. Even many times bulk buys on eBay...can be resold individually.
#7 Think about shipping...small items that you can sell for a lot of money are easier to ship...handle...deal with.
#8 Think about efficiency...learn how to enter new items for sale quickly. Reuse your terms and conditions. Make your shipping process efficient. Time is money.
#9 eBay is a legitimate home based business. I have a few freinds that make nice supplementary incomes reselling on eBay.
#10 Garage sales are good sources for inventory. Used kids clothes sell very well. Think about what people need to buy regularly.
#11 To get your feet wet look around your house I am sure there are things you can sell to try out the process.
#12 Be carefull about inventory...keeping inventory will cost you money. But sometimes especially with clearance item purchases sometimes it is worth it to hold the item until the proper season when people are actively shopping for the item.

yep, those are selling well. Also iPhone spare parts, iphone gadgets, accessories.. lets face it, iPhone is selling well so you can just piggy back that. Also pretty cheap

Kindle E-books..It's easy to create and sell on amazon kindle store. huge profit.
yep, it is a huge profit and the market for these e-books is getting bigger
Like everything else peoples taste change and hot products become no longer hot. You can do searches in Ebay to see what people are buying. I hit auctions and buy estates, I always figure 50 cents on the dollar for return then another 10% for Ebay then another 8 for paypal
For Ebay, research is key. The pulse.ebay page is good for finding some top selling categories, but won't give you the kind of detailed info your gonna need. Price is key for selling on ebay, and you have to go thru listings and see what things are going for, and if there are bids, etc. The usual top categories of electronics and such aren't even worth attempting, since the competition is so high, and you won't be able to compete with the prices. Best to go after low hanging fruit. I've had luck with the following: collectibles such as dishes, nick nacks, tableware, . Women's clothing and shoes do well, especially designer brands. Kids clothes are hit or miss, you have to do some research on latest styles. Fragrances new or slightly used will sell every time. Old toys that are in mint or near mint condition, ones that are in the original package will bank some real $$$. Seasonal decorations, believe it or not, are hot items. Especially Halloween and Christmas. Coins, depending on the market. I made a small killing last year on franklin and kennedy halves, washington quarters when silver spiked to $40 an ounce.
Just some ideas for ya. As far as acquiring the stuff to sell, that's a whole other ballgame. I have a few good thrift stores and Goodwills nearby that I visit a few times a week. You'd be surprised at the stuff you find there for cheap. Pawn shops aren't bad either, hit or miss. Storage auctions are good, but the competition is stiff with the tv shows out now. Garage sales and estate sales used to be my staple, but people are getting smart now and doing research before they sell. You can still find some cheap stuff though, it's not as easy as it used to be. Craigslist can yield a diamond in the rough now and then too.

Ali-express isn't a bad place to start you can purchase a broad range of inexpensive products iPhone accessory's are a good place to start.
you can also use some of the buying statistics on there to get a small indication of what might sell well by looking at the most ordered products on aliexpress and then compare it to ebay.

Good info, thanks everyone.
Another suggestion would be to check out some of the top deals site out there and get used to browsing it several times a day and if I find items that are at least $20 in profit buy up a bunch

Cell phone accessories are a bad idea. You can buy cases, chargers, etc on eBay for $1 from Chinese sellers!
