hi,

just wondering where is a good place to get a logo made? im thinking about going with marvellogodesigns but was wondering if anyone else has a better recommendation.

its pretty affordable at $50 for a well thought out logo.

actually nvm that.. they have horrible reviews from another blog.

For cheap logos Fiverr, for PRO & expensive 99designs u can get a lot of designs and reward to the best designer

great thanks.. they look good... are those the main ones that most ppl use?

I use logotournament, a bit more expensive however excellent quality. I used to resell their services for much more than I paid. I personally have all my logos done by them.

do you have portfolio?

no need to leave this forum, services for sale section has many great logo designers, i bought 2 awesome logo designs in there

Download inkscape and do it yourself (its a free program)

You would seriously be surprised just how little work most logo designers are doing for your money, it's just a matter of slapping some text and shapes on the screen and playing around with the various filters and effects until your happy with the results!

That's only true if you are talking about those newbies who make logos for twenty bucks. If you are a professional graphics designer and make logos for companies you have a HUGE responsibility as the logo is shown everywhere and it's one of those things people remember when talking about a specific brand. I fucking laughed when I read your message because it's clear that you know nothing about logo design. Direct quote from wikipedia:

Logo design is an important area of graphic design, and one of the most difficult to perfect. The logo (ideogram), is the image embodying an organization. Because logos are meant to represent companies' brands or corporate identities and foster their immediate customer recognition, it is counterproductive to frequently redesign logos.
Anyone can download inkscape, gimp or photoshop but it requires years of practice to be a succesful logo designer. I personally charge at least 800$ for one logo and I know that the most succesfull designers charge over 3000$ per day. If you want quality you have to pay for it. Cheap designers use free fonts, clip art and they usually have no talent. I personally spend hours talking with the client and drawing sketches so we know that the logo perfectly firts the clients needs. After that I spend hours on Illustrator perfecting the shapes. Then I make as many revisions as needed so the client is happy with the result. Logo design is not about fucking effects and filters, but I'm sure that you use them alot. :D Take a look at the following logos and maybe you'll realize why you have to pay a lot for good designer (To help you out a little bit, three first logos are made by crappy "artists" and the other three are made by professionals who cost A LOT).

Hi,
freestyldesign from fiverr is good, had a few done there recently :)

Macmikes

haha you're point is somewhat lost by the two people suggesting fiverr beneath your post :D
(Don't actually use inkscape for anything other than cartography personally, but I was somewhat surprised to see all of the logo designers on fiverr - and quite a few so called 'professionals' WERE just using effects and filters. Also, I VERY much doubt that the OP is looking for a $3000 logo, so your advice, interesting as it is, aint alot of use for him :D)

Bro, why don't you try on some freelancing site for designing logo. I know that a lot of people do freelancing as logo designer in odesk.

Lol! There are so many "professionals" nowadays that they ruin the reputation of the whole business.. It's not very wise to get a logo from fiverr because it's most probably a template or a very crappy one (I also doubt that they are using Photoshop so the logo might not be resizable, some "designers" haven't even heard of Illustrator and vectors)..

You actually had a good point in your post! If you want to get a logo done and you don't want to pay lots for it (I mean that a REAL professional would work dozens of hours on the logo and make a unique typeface and stuff like that) it's good to know that most of those cheap wannabe professionals usually just play around with crappy fonts and add some gradients and that's it. Many times you'll find out that those "designers" are 13 years old kids with a pirated Photoshop and a bunch of tutorials they are replicating, haha!

Sorry for my little misunderstanding, I know you weren't talking about real graphic design industry professionals :) Of course there are real professionals who work for a relatively cheap price (something like 100$ or so) but the reason is that they have huge amount of clients and they can't put very much thought or work into your logo. The results however are usually good if you are not looking for perfection.

Just my 2 cents.. :D

No offense taken, I see it as a sign that you're passionate about your craft, and that can only be a good thing! :D

Hi Guys, check this person personally, i liked how they work. I had good experience working with them - https://goo.gl/23XEUs . Hope that helps! :)
