I would suggest you to go with a domain which has low spam score because high spam score might not work all time

i think a spam score of 25% indicates that a quarter of the emails associated with this domain might be considered spam and this can affect deliverability and reputation. you can use tools like SEMrush, Ahrefs, or Moz to get a detailed report on the domain's SEO metrics and backlinks and spam score reasons

spam score is not important, ignore it and focus on what really matters: the content history, the drops, the links, the niche consistency...
SS has absolutely nothing to do with emails, it's a metric invented by MOZ to justify low quality links (which might, or might not even be consistent with what google considers spam, hence why SS is such a bogus metric)

if the link profile is clean and the wayback machine doesn't show any kind of spammy usage you're good to go,
spam score is a useless metric, and even if you decide to use it, most of the domains tend to get high SS after being expired,

spam Score (SS) by Moz is indeed a metric that Moz created to help identify potentially low-quality or spammy websites based on certain characteristics and yea its true that this metric is specific to Moz and does not directly correlate with Google's algorithms but you cant really say that this "absolutely nothing" to do with emails or is solely about justifying low-quality links
