iamliss: Yes the database of mininova is huge in fact, but the search some files and sort by seeds. There are lot of duplications and many of the torrents are dead. You will find why people are looking demonoid accounts. Demonoid will delete most of duplicates. Not all the torrents that available in demonoid are available to other public torrent sites, although demonoid encourages to put in public too. For example I downloaded planet earth from demonoid in high quality psp format (MP4) of 2.2 gig for total of 11 files which was not available in mininova (where each file is 2.2 gig).

lol...i checked up the FAQ on demonoid...here's what it says about not getting the confirmation email..

Not sure why the amount of torrents matters. IF that mattered, then we would only need ThePirateBay. But Demonoid has different types of torrents.
1. All their torrents are virus free and completely safe
2. 95% of them are original to Demonoid (Except the ones that say External)
3. They have unique torrents of things that can't be found anywhere else.
Countless times have I found something I needed on Demonoid rather than the major torrent sites.

As of today...demonoid.com is down..hope it comes bac up soon...great site...notify if comes bac up..pls
