Good looking website, then what?

I'm just finishing the last details.
I will upload it a few hours from now into a free hosting service, then I will redirect it to my domain godisover.com
It will be a news site about atheism, and religion related news.

go on other related sites and cause controversy and say if you want to discuss this further goto you site...
i wouldnt put it on free hosting, get a discount coupon for hostgator at least... you have to spend money to make money, imagine if you get your site making tons of $$$ and then just because its on a free host, they pull it down, you will be shit out of luck and have to move everything over - save yourself the hassle... i think hostgator do like a $1 trial for a month or something crazy like that

But one thing, I have heard several complaints about hostgator hosting service, it's really advisable to use them?
I have no problem spending $5 - $10 if you guys say that it would make a big difference in my revenue potential!
I have already 2 articles of my own to submit to the site, should I submit only those 2, or should I spin some atheism related articles and submit as many articles as possible to begin with?
I've been hearing that the amount of content that a site has is directly proportional to the amount of traffic It'll get, Is that true?
And one last question, this might be a ridiculous question, but here it goes, how do I index my site in google and yahoo? And since I'm redirecting the site from a hostgator hosting account into a domain registered in yahoo domains, will my content appear in the google searches after I index the site?

I'll give you a tip. Think about how you are going to monetize your website and how exactly you are going to be promoting it before you even buy a domain name.
When it comes to promoting it, atheist videos get tons of views on YT. People usually start arguing in comments and as a result your video appears on the most discussed page. I would watermark a few videos and give that a try.

dillusion - i think hostgator aint bad to get you started but you when your making lots of sites its good to get at least a VPS
personally for my non blackhat sites i use the follow and have for several years support is excellant - good support is what really sets a webhost apart from the rest...

yeah a vps lets you create multiple sites/accounts etc
i have 4 vps for different projects some have 200 sites, one has one site on another has 4 all of different specs, etc
i would recommend a vps with cpanel/whm and fantastico
