Good laptops for IM

When you have a higher budget, get a Macbook Air.

For your budget you can go with Lenova or HP ( Basic configuration )

Dont buy a mac, if all you are gonna use it for is IM then buy a 2nd hand one cheap

Have a look at http://www.ebuyer.com
they real cheap stuff , also there ao.com

Hp are very good

Good luck.

Example

£317.37 about 376 euro
  • AMD A6-7310 2GHz APU
  • 8GB RAM + 256GB SSD
  • 15.6" LED + DVDRW
  • WIFI + Webcam + Bluetooth
  • Windows 10 Pro 64-bit

Everyone is going to tell you that you should have the biggest and the best.. but for me.. if you are going to say in IM for YEARS AND YEARS [means you're making money] then you need a laptop with..

1) A good hinge [they break quick after 2-3,000 opens]
2) At least 4GB of RAM
3) At least an i4 Processor

Beyond that.. the name of the game is reliability. Now I have a laptop with 16GB RAM, Core i7 Processor, amazing everything... but who gives a crap!

I use my Gateway NV57H44u everyday and the $3,000 computer in my free time.. how's that for asinine.

So again, my recco is Gateway NV57H44u, which you can pickup on eBay for $120.

£3.000 computer what the hell is it, even my cisco server not that much money with 64gb with 10ghz line, ssd 4tb and it running at 4.2 quad core, you must be on a waffle

I have built some of the best business setup and gamming setup with £1000 grapghic cards , never ever heard a 3k computer impress me!

Don't got stats on me.. but you can drop 3k on idiot brands like AlienWare & Apple - http://www.tomsguide.com/us/pictures-story/77-apple-macbookpro-seventeeninch.html

That's what I did.. AlienWare Area 51, custom frame, 16GB (2.5yrs ago when that was a big deal), Core i7 Extreme ($1K there), blah blah blah.. point being..

And I'm sure you can agree.. just get something that WORKS and keeps working. RELIability over ABILITY..

Always go for a laptop with 6+ Ram, i self have 64gb, since i work with vmwares.
But i would recommend you to buy a 6+ gb Ram'er

Dells are good and durable,HP has good international warranty support. Asus are also good but avoid Lenovo at all cost , after that Superfish scandal it's hard to trust and buy any laptops from them.

I Have E-Machine since 9 Years :-) still working and it s my Lovely Laptop which made me Gain over 140K during Those Years, Thx e-machine
