Hi BHW

I've been lurking here for a while, I've been debating learning SEO myself, but after seeing the potential to make money I decided to give it a go myself.

I was just curious what is a good keyboard to go for a beginner in terms of competition and search wise, would it be good to start off with a keyboard with only a few thousand searchs a month versus one that has like 10k+?

THanks

it is more than just monthly searches although the monthly searches can give you a pretty good indication.

if you have a spare $100 go buy market samurai and it will help you accomplish your goal. Even if you dont purchase the software you can go watch their training videos which will point you in the right direction.

Good Luck

those little rubber keyboards are quite cool...with the blue LEDs

LOL!! At Blaatje.

But anyways, yes I say it's good for you to start off with a low competition keyword and get the hang of it first.. Learn what works and what doesn't through the first time. Then, move on to some decent/good niches and better keywords

searches monthly is not the determining factor on how competitive a keyterm is. Look at how many sites are competing for that keyword, look at the top 10, and their PR, Back Links to their site, Back links to the page that is ranking, Title Tags, if the url is keyword rich, description. then judge your own skill, and make a final assessment.
