I went on the Skype websites, and there were several recommended headsets to use for their services. Most headsets are decent these days, so just get a USB one from a well known brand (mine is Plantronics) and you'll be fine.

For me noise cancellation was a big issue so I tested a few brands and microsoft had the best noise cancellation.

Plantronics are pretty good quality. Just check the reviews before you buy and you should do good.
