Anyone have any recommendation on good forums to make money?

I have a popular Facebook group and they want me to make a forum for it so I was wondering if there was one that I could use that would make money from it such as planting ads, I tired a few forums and I couldn't post any ads in it.

The forum is about bmw, they want to post pictures and DIY projects as well as sell items. So it would be nice to do affiliate marketing and have ads on it.

    Thanks :D

VBulletin used to have one, but it was discontinued a while back. The main problem is not only feasibility but that it is mostly an unneeded and duplication of efforts. The main reason for using social media if you are not directly monetizing in a blackhat fashion is to cull traffic away from the SM site anyway, so if your users want a forum, give them one, at the cost of a .99 domain and some cheap hosting. You'll get more out of it in the long run anyway.

Well I would recommend you to get a hosting and domain and install a forum software on it. It's not that hard. Tips about getting a hosting: You can look for cheap hosts and domain registrars on Ebay. Beware most of them are fake, but sellers with higher rating and customer satisfaction are usually legit.

VBulletin offer the best forums - if you're intending on starting your own forum, otherwise it's dependent on niche.

If you are selling buggis/pushchairs/strollers then you need to find a forum which Mothers/Parents frequently use that allows selling or promotion in some way.

If your niche has anything to do with IM, backlinks, blogs, niche research, MMO etc then this forum is ideal.
